After School Program
Apollo Academy is offering an after school program for learners at Apollo Academy, Gorrie Elementary and 6th graders at Wilson Middle School. The program follows the learner-driven approach of Apollo Academy creating an environment that inspires creativity, fun and play. This program is also technology-free.
The program is NOT homework help or tutoring. Its focus is on allowing children the choice to engage, play and explore at their will. We offer arts, crafts, experiments, games and a lot of outdoor play.
Location
We are located in the educational building of Hyde Park Presbyterian Church in the heart of Hyde Park. Our address is 1309 W Swann Ave Tampa, FL 33606. Learners from Gorrie Elementary and Wilson Middle will be greeted by our afterschool guide at school and then walk together to Apollo Academy, rain or shine.
Program Calendar
The program is after school (1:55pm for Gorrie*, 4pm for Wilson) until 5pm on regular school days, per the Hillsborough County Public School calendar. The program starts on Monday, August 14th and ends on May 24th. We also offer a parent drop-off option for anyone in our community where parents can drop-off between 2:30-5pm with a reservation.
*The program picks up at 12:55pm on Mondays for early release.
Program Cost
Apollo Academy
$90/wk for full time; $60/wk for sibling; free for 3rd sibling ($25 for drop-in)
Gorrie Elementary
$125/wk for full time; $90/wk for sibling (No drop-in option)
Wilson Middle
$50/wk for full time; No discount for sibling (No drop-in option)
Parent Drop-off
$25 per drop-in; $15 for sibling
