This process is designed to make sure that this is a good fit for both your family and Apollo Academy which is why we ask you to dedicate time and thought to the process.

*Note: This form does not save your responses mid process. We recommend that you draft and save your answers elsewhere (i.e. Microsoft Word or a Google Doc), then copy/paste to the form once you’ve had a chance to thoughtfully answer all questions.

If you have more than one child, please submit separate applications as we believe each child is their own genius. (You can use the same answers for questions about your perspective.)

Parental involvement is critical to a child's success in our program. Do all primary caregivers of your child agree with the Acton learning model and understand their responsibilities accordingly?*
It must be VERY clear that Parental Involvement does not look like most people expect. It requires the trust of their learner, giving them the time they need, not what time the adults think it should happen within, and to use the tools we provide parents to support the Acton model best. In a nutshell, this place belongs to the Heroes, NOT the Parents / Adults, and we have to be able to relinquish control OR it will not work. We will support Parents on their own Hero's Journey.
All primary caregivers have completed meaningful research about Apollo Academy and the Acton Approach and feel like they understand and are bought into the learner-driven model.*
