Apollo Academy offers a Hybrid Homeschool Program this upcoming school year 

Apollo Academy is proud to offer a three-day hybrid program for homeschool families for the upcoming school year. The program is from 8a-3p (full school day) on Tuesday through Thursday and designed to give homeschoolers a chance to engage with authentic and consistent community in a learner-driven environment. This program is great for families who love the flexibility of homeschool, but are looking for a part-time program that provides the social and collaborative benefits of a learner-driven environment.

Spark Studio Homeschool Hybrid Program (typically ages 5-7)

This is a complete curriculum to include core (reading, writing & math). We use Montessori manipulatives, multi-sensory solutions & online programs to master core foundational concepts. Check out the 2023-2024 preview for more info on our Spark core design. Most of these programs can be incorporated at home with very little investment.

For non-core (science, civilization, entrepreneurship, critical thinking, etc.), we play, explore with STEAM activities and incorporate project-based learning into each day.

One of the biggest benefits to our program is our environment which fosters confidence, self-regulation and independence. Our learners take over systems and processes such as time-keeping and mindfulness as well as self-governing through town halls, friendship tent, character call-outs and other Acton systems. Because our Spark learners are still young, our Montessori-trained guide “models” and "guides" more than in our Discovery studio, but still under the learner-driven philosophy.

Discovery Studio Homeschool Hybrid Program (typically ages 7-11)

This is a partial curriculum to mostly focus on non-core learning design. This program is designed to allow parents to continue the foundational core skill work at home and allow the multi-disciplinary learning to take place in the studio such as science, civilization, entrepreneurship, critical thinking and writer’s workshop/communication all through “gamified,” project-based challenges and quests. There is time each day for independent core skills where hybrid learners can choose to bring something from home or use a non-online program we offer in the studio such as Waseca or Montessori math workbook. One of the biggest benefits to our program is our environment which fosters confidence, critical thinking, collaboration and independence. There are two Socratic launches each day where questions are posed that equip, inspire and connect. Our learners take over systems and processes such as time-keeping and mindfulness as well as self-governing through town halls, Peacock bucks, peace talks, character call-outs and other Acton systems. Our studio has a Socratic guide who is trained to only ask questions as learners build their soft skill tool belts, work together and get creative to solve problems. It is a learner-driven environment where we believe children are far more capable than society thinks.

Tuition: The cost for the Homeschool Hybrid program is $8000 per year paid in two installments of $4000 in August and January. In addition, there is a one-time enrollment fee of $400.
